• $150/year for basic site hosting, email aliasing, form responders & mail lists.  Paid in advance. non-refundable. This price could be higher if you have a very complex or large website.  This price may vary if you choose a host other than our service. Your hosting includes: up to 1000MB Web Space, 30GB Bandwidth, Unlimited POP3 e-mails, 5 Subdomains, Apache web server, Personal CGI-BIN, Perl, PHP, Python MySQL, Database, phpMyAdmin, OpenSSH, secure shell, Server side includes, MS FrontPage server extensions, 24/7 FTP Access, Online file manager, Web logs, Website statistics, Online control panel, 24/7
  
• Site development -- this can be at a fixed price or at an hourly rate which varies depending on the complexity of the site, from $30/hr and up. We will discuss and agree on the best method for what you have in mind at the time of consultation.
  • For a site up to 5 pages, called a "brochure" site, with graphics, your text and feedback forms, development could cost as little as $400-$600. A Non-Refundable deposit/down payment of $300 to get started, if you hire us to design your site.
  • For the same, up to 5 page more complex site with site interaction, forum, guestbook, contact and full database functions $600-$900 is a low-ball figure. A non-refundable deposit/down payment of $500 to get started, if you hire me to design your site.
  • For, up to 10 page site, with electronic commerce capability, catalog, forum, guestbook, contact, site interaction, and extra flare $800-$3,000 and up should be expected, not including bank and credit card fees. A non-refundable deposit/down payment of $600 to get started and a payment of balance schedule, if you hire us to design your site.

  You think the above seems like a lot? It's about HALF the cost of comparable designers. And think of it like this,  if you had a storefront and could pay a 24-hour-per day/7-day-per week employee who never takes sick or vacation time to keep your storefront open, taking business from the whole world for only $500 - $3,000 a year, you'd do it. We will be happy to assist you in the beginning to learn how to use each web based interface for each application installed. We offer 1 hour of free assistance after each application is installed. After the initial free hour, we do charge $25 per hour thereafter for 'on-site' or 'phone' consultations. Most applications can be learned quite easily within the first free hour. ( long distance phone charges are the responsibility of the client ... On-Site Assistance is only offered to clients within a 30 mile range of Lakeland, Florida )

We have been asked in the past if we do site updates for people, as they are needed. We do offer updating services at a rate of $25 per hour. Most normal size sites with normal updates can be done within one to two hours. Larger sites often do take a little more time, depending on the amount of updates to be done, but we will always be fair to you with costs.

If you are wondering why so many different prices... Why can't it just be one simple prices?... We *DO* offer certain packages as you can see further down on this page, but giving an exact amount would be impossible to do without more, much-needed information about your particular needs. Some of the things we will need to know before we start are:

1. Your Budget
   As with many other kinds of purchases, the amount of money you can, or want to, or plan to spend is one of the first factors to consider. Like a home builder, a good Web-site builder can create something for you at almost any price point.

2. Audience & Goals
   It (almost) goes without saying that you want to compel your Web-site visitors to "do something" when they visit your Web site. We need to find out who you're targeting and what you want them to do. In other words, how will we know if the Web site is "a success"?

3. Visual Design
   The look and feel of a Web site contributes enormously to the first impression visitors to it will have. We need to understand what your vision is for the look and feel of the site and the extent to which you will be involved in the process of designing a site that realizes that vision.

4. Information Architecture
   One client might give us a printed eight-page brochure and ask us to recreate that information on the Web. Another might show us an existing 100-page Web site and ask us to totally reorganize the information in a better way. Still another might not know exactly what information should be displayed on the site or how — and wants us to help make those decisions.

5. Content Development
   Do you want us to do all the content development for your site? Do you want us to create all of the graphical assets? We need to understand who will be providing us with the content for your site and in what format it will be coming to us.

6. Functionality
   Beyond being informational, what kinds of functionality does your site require? Are you selling products online? Will we be using databases? What kinds of visitor interactivity are you looking for?

7. Changes & Updates
   We need to understand your requirements with respect to updating content on the site. Are there only a few pages that need to be updated only occasionally? Are there some pages or sections that need frequent updating? What turnaround time do you require?

8. Third-Party Resources
   Are you using third-party resources (e.g., graphic designers, Web-hosting firms) with whom we will be working as we develop the site?

9. Your Expectations of Us
   Understanding what you are looking for from a Web firm does not so much help determine pricing as it does help clarify whether there is a good match between your needs and our capabilities. We always want to know what matters most to you when it comes to a Web design and development firm.
